You thought you were doing a good thing - you volunteered to serve your community.  Now you wonder what you've gotten yourself into and if it will ever end.  Whether it's a Condo or Homeowners' Association Board or a local community theater or civic group, many of the problems are the same.

Condos and HOA's have to manage infrastructure and enforce rules - charitable organizations grapple with marketing and fundraising - but the root of many board challenges is simply people -- people with different ideas, personalities, backgrounds, and values having to get along.
